FULL REPORT: Beautiful bright summers morning and we all met at The Hill and paraded from there around to Mr and Mrs Lee's house who put a spread on for the band.(Mr. and Mrs Lee are the parents of one of the bands founding members David who was killed in a road traffic accident. See in Memory page.). While there the band presented Mr and Mrs Lee with a plaque from the band in mmory of their son David. From there we went to Rathfern to pick up our Lodge and then from there to East Belfast. The band played superbly and their behaviour was impeccable. The ownly downside was that one of our side drummers had to leave the ranks due to ill health. (The same person was said to be delighted when the female doctor at the hospital he attended told him he had accute angina as he thought this was a compliment). The band was of course a totally different band on the way home and when the rain started those sober enough to think of it complained of chest pains .
