We are a loyalist Marching band who travel
the length and breadth of Ulster every year participating in competition parades
as well as taking part in Orange Order, Royal Black Preceptory and Apprentice
Boys parades. We also travel to Glasgow every year where we parade for the Boyne
anniversary.
The Bands name is taken from Carnmoney
Hill, which sits high above Belfast Lough on its north west shore, and sits
between Cavehill and the Hills overlooking Carrickfergus.
The band was formed in the early 80's
when the wider Glengormley area had a number of bands, but while some of them
dwindled and others where wrongly banned from parading, the P.O.T.H.f.b. has
stood the test of time and although throughout the years it has had it's ups
and downs, the band is now going from strength to strengh, with a strong membership
and a recently purchased new uniform.
